AUTOCRACIES
There were 91 Autocracies and 88 Democracies in the year 2024 according to the V-Dem Institute in Sweden.
Autocratic systems can be of religious nature or governed by strongmen,
despots, oligarchs, tyrant families or autocrats ruling apartheid systems or nationalist, populist, ultra-right, fascist, theocratic or kleptocratic regimes. Physical and psychological terror are used on the population, either with secret policing or torture and military rule, or by controlling the population through mass media and propaganda.

Each countiy will be covered with multiple episodes filmed by international filmmakers
Autocracies depicts these political systems in short form vertical films of 1 to 2 min episodes to reach a young audience on social media. The first episodes will be montages of archival material, to be followed by original footage shot on location by a variety of international filmmakers.
